The International Latino Gang Investigators Association was formally established on January 1, 2002.  ILGIA is a non-profit organization dedicated to providing quality training for law enforcement professionals and meeting the need for accurate information on Latino gangs and crime groups by members of the law enforcement community.

In 2002, ILGIA held its first National Gang Conference in Seattle, Washington.  In the years since, the conference has been hosted in San Antonio, Texas, Denver, Colorado, Annapolis, Maryland, Las Cruces, New Mexico, and Las Vegas, Nevada.  Through our national and international partnerships, we track emerging trends and prolific organized crime groups.  In addition to our National  Conference, the Association provides other training opportunities each year, most recently in Montgomery County, Maryland, Campbell, California, and San Bernardino, California.

The ILGIA membership includes federal, state, local, and tribal peace officers, prosecutors, correctional personnel, parole and probation officers, and our brother and sister officers from the international law enforcement community.
